Some jobs are bigger than one room. I take on full renovations, from stripping a house back to opening a room up and putting a steel in.

Recent work includes a listed building taken back to its beams and brickwork, a media wall built into a living room, and a garden bar with power and lighting run out to it.

Listed buildings and older houses

Older buildings take longer, and that is worth knowing at the start. Beams, lath and plaster and solid brick all limit where a cable can go, so the routes are worked out before anything is cut.

In a listed building what can be seen matters as much as what works. Cables are run where they will not show, and the brickwork and timber go back as they were.
